During my nine years in Malta I have kept myself occupied by driving tourists around the island to the many places of interest.  I have had the pleasure of meeting interesting people from around the world.  Occasionally I have had inquiries from people interested in retiring here.  The interest was enough to cause me to arm myself with facts about locations, property prices, and  residence requirements.

As Malta has always been a favourite retirement destination for many, I decided to  add this page to my website to address this demand.  My advice has always been:

-Avoid real estate agents when possible.

-Deal with owners and property developers directly.

-Find a local contact to achieve the above (We can talk.)

The prices quoted by real estate agents in Malta are typically grossly inflated. However, Owners and developers currently face an over supply situation.
